Baby Sparrows

Feed me, feed me!!!

These photos were sent to me by my cousin Glenda in North Carolina. She had a nest of sparrows in a wreath she had hung on her front door and has been carefully slipping in and out of the door for weeks so as not to disturb them. Yesterday I got an excited note that her babies had hatched. She took some pictures from inside the door. Here is a face that only a mother could love. Congratulations Glenda, you are a grandmother.

One can only go aghhhhhh to those pictures. Whilst it must be irritating having a problem getting in and out of one's own home these baby sparrows more than make up for the inconvenience.

My first thought was they had found a nest at your place and was not surprised to see them thriving as good food abounds in the Miller household :-)

How cute and how well captured.

Your a couple of weeks ahead of us. In Oslo, Norway they're busy making the nest now.

Same here! We have a nest right above the front doors. The poor birds are scared to death every time we step out (er... I smoke, sorry!). Hope we get to see the babies after a while!

We have 4 baby sparrows in a nest in the wreath on our front storm door as well! We do have to be careful going in and out but what a blessing!
