Sunday Jigsaw Puzzle - Tulips

Bright tulips frame the front walk of this lovely home. It is a beautiful time of year.

Bonsoir, Bill.

La nature est en avance chez vous car, ici, les tulipes sortent juste leurs feuilles : pas encore de fleur !
Mais vous avez raison, le printemps est une saison merveilleuse.
Bisous.

That is "picture perfect" - makes me want to get my watercolours out.
I've checked in on the blog on my way to bed so no time to do the jigsaw. When I come home from having a hearing aid test tomorrow I shall have a go at it.
Thanks for amusing me with it :-)

On a totally different subject and this is really for Micki who likes "history". Here in England today is Mothering Sunday (not mother's day, that's modern idiom).
Mothering Sunday came about because the ladies in the big houses allowed their maids and servants to go home half way through Lent to see their mothers.
Because the servants hadn't seen their mothers for some time, it became usual to pick a bunch of flowers as a little gift. Thus, has grown up a (I assume world-wide) tradition.

Elleona - Notre temps est une "attraction à venir" pour que votre temps sera.

Anne - According to Google your tradition goes back to the 1600's, certainly much older than our traditions here in the colonies. You know that your love of jigsaw puzzles encouraged me to find an online version. Enjoy.

Bill, you are such a good friend to find things to amuse me :-)
I certainly hadn't realised that Mothering Sunday went back to the 1600s and I'm surprised it isn't celebrated in France. Commiserations Micki, it's nice to have your offspring take you for lunch or simply ring to say "hello" on this special day. Not that we Mothers need a special day! There is, of course, father's day for you Bill although not as much fuss is made of that celebration over here.
