Skywatch Friday - Rain Over Tulsa

Last Sunday afternoon we took granddaughter Molly to church camp at St. Crispin's in central Oklahoma.  On the way back we watched a thunderstorm brewing near Tulsa.  I was driving so Sue was our photographer.  We got home with only a few sprinkles but later that night we had some very hard rain.  Poor Smokey.  He hates storms.

We're getting a lot of heavy rains here too after the El Nino. Nice view of the sky!

Great capture and they are moody looking skies aren't they? Happy 4th of July! Have a grand weekend!

This sky looks as if it can't quite make up its mind.

I appreciate it is probably an optical illusion but you do seem to have much bigger skies than England.

@mum This part of Oklahoma is relatively flat farm and pasture land. The sky is "bigger" because you can see farther. Does that make sense?

I'd love some rain to cool down right now, it's boiling hot in France!
