My lilacs were blooming and spreading their sweet fragrance a few days ago. They were pounded by a late spring snow yesterday but may have survived as it did not freeze very hard. In the mean time, here is a jigsaw puzzle for you to enjoy with your coffee.

My wife wants me to plant a lilac here in Broken Arrow. We want a fragrant, disease-resistant, purple lilac. Any variety recommendations? Sources?
I purchased my lilacs at Southwood Nursery at 91st and Riverside in Tulsa. They have been quite hardy although it takes a couple of years before they bloom much. They have a wonderful fragrance! I wish you similar good fortune.
