Monochrome Reflections - OneOK Plaza

The OneOK Plaza, 5th Street and Boulder Avenue, Tulsa, Oklahoma.    OneOK is an energy company that includes Oklahoma Natural Gas Company.

Good architecture shot; I'd be tempted to really increase the contrast in the PC software which would probably add some extra 'punch' to the shot.

As an intern architect, I worked on the drawings for this building. It was originally scheduled to be 50 stories. Economics forced the sale of the building and the scope reduced to 36 stories. As the economic downturn grew worse, the final building was finished at it's current 18 stories.
You will see a couple of other buildings around town, most notably on I-44 that are clad in the same red granite. That's because the granite for the 36 story version of OneOk had already been delivered when the decision was made to reduce it's size. Therefore, there was a lot of surplus red granite for sale. Just thought you might be interested.
