All along the east side of my back garden is a row of shrub rose of variety "Knockout". The wooden fence is 5 feet high and the rose is nearly to the top. Knockout is a fairly new variety, extremely disease resistant, vigorous, and long blooming. I planted these about 5 years ago and they have grown to an impenetrable wall of thorn and bloom. Even Smokey is reluctant to crash through to bark at the neighbor's lawn mower.

spectacular! I'm in Okla too but haven't tried roses yet-- maybe I should give it a go.
I love the knockout roses. As soon as I finish preparing the front flower bed, I'm putting in some of the knockouts. I love that they don't get very tall, but are loaded with blooms.
Have a wonderful Ruby Tuesday.
Pretty! There's nothing like a bank of roses to really bring a garden to life.
Nice flowers :)
Execellent, beautiful line of red!

This is beautiful! I like the knockout roses!
Bonjour.
J'ai aussi des clôtures de rosiers de ce style mais qui donnent de magnifiques petites roses blanches et ... beaucoup d'épines !
kisses.
It is really a knockout, it's beautiful. And I like to see that they are in full bloom this year. Thanks for sharing the pic. Happy RRT!

Wow, a great colorful display of roses. We have knockout roses also. I fight with them every November when I put up our Christmas lights. But they are worth it.
Beautiful flowers and lovely colour :)

That hue truly is a knockout! How lovely it would be to wake up to that view out my window every morning!
