Install a Platform Lift
My best friend Alan and I drove over to Oklahoma City this morning to The Scooter Store to have a power lift installed in my new van. The 3rd row of seats is folded into the floor and the lift is bolted to the seat brackets. (Click to enlarge)
The back door is raised and the Down button on the control is pressed while the platform slides back and then down to rest flat on the ground. The power chair is driven on top of the platform and strapped in. The Up button is pressed and the chair is raised up and then forward, stowing the chair into the back of the van. When the chair is needed the procedure is reversed and the chair driven off the platform. It is very solid and requires very little effort on my part. The chair is to be delivered tomorrow. I am excited. I feel like a little kid about to get his first bicycle.

Good for you!
Think of all the picture you will take now, exploring further and further!
That is some power lift. For my mother's scooter my Father built homemade ramps. What a pain in the butt. Your new gizmo seems very slick. We'll need a report once you have tried it out.
The wonders of modern-day science.
Looking forward to pictures of you going up and down :-)
Don't stay out and play on it all day - remember Susan will want you in for dinner at some time!!!
Bonsoir Bill.
Le breack est très beau et le sytemèe ingénieux pour vous permettre de vous déplacer plus aisément.
Bisous à Susan et vous et caresses à Smokey.
