Macro Monday - Turning Leaves

We have had some frosty nights this past week and the trees have burst into their Autumn color.  We had a lot of rain this summer and the colors are intense.  I really love the big Maples whose leaves turn from green to yellow to orange to dark red, and sometimes display them all on the same tree.

Awesome autumn colours! They were pretty here too while they lasted, but now everything's gone.

Those pictures are superb - sadly, they don't last long. The leaves I mean, not the pictures!!!!

Breathtaking! We had brilliant red on our Japanese maple for about 12 hours... then the wind blew it all away...

Gorgeous color!!! Please consider yourself officially invited to participate this year's 5th Annual Gratitude (word) Quilt. Instructions (it is very simple) and a link that explains the origin of the word quilt can be found at the top of my blog. In past years there have been participants from every continent except Antarctica. I hope you'll join us:-)

Gorgeous reds in the leaf colors. The trees are so beautiful, some here as well.

Stunning beauty! I do wish I had some trees that would display those wonderful colors. Mine mostly just go to yellow or brown.
