This is much like Bob Crowe's image today in his St. Louis daily photo blog. I never think of turning autumn foliage into monochrome, but here the two of you both do it on the same day!!!

It was cloudy and raining and I was interested in the contrast between the pale yellow leaves and the dark almost black tree trunks. Sepia simplified the image and gave it almost an abstract quality.
