It's not just the door, it's the grounds with the ivy-clad trees which all give rise to the imagination. I reckon it's elves who rent in autumn/winter and fairies in spring/summer.

Great pic, that is a very inviting scene.
It does indeed look like you have stumbled upon an enchanted forest.
