Macro Monday - High as a Ostrich's Eye

While not strictly a macro, this is about as close as I want to come to an ostrich.

It is an interesting fact that the ostrich's brain is the same size as its eyeball.

How on earth could you get so close to the eye without is spitting on you...or is this a zoom lens? Such wonderful detail.

I imagine that this was a bit of a zoom because otherwise, that's just scary! :) Great photo. I've never looked that closely at an ostriches eye.

I love this photo. Great self portrait in the eyeball also.

I've known some people whose brain could be the size of the eyeballs.

That's such a cool closeup shot! I don't think I've ever been that close to an ostrich.
