Today I met with my favorite cousins Catharine and Glenda to work on our common ancestry. Among us we have a lot of old photographs and letters going back to the civil war and before. We started last year scanning pictures and transcribing old letters so that our family history will be preserved for later generations. We accomplished quite a lot then took a photo of our reunion. Of course Smokey thought he was part of the family and climbed right in. I have some very nice looking cousins, eh?

Genealogy must be fascinating! Do you know where (in Europe, I guess) are your ancestors from?
This is on my mothers side and goes back to before the civil war (1860s) but before that from England & Ireland
A great looking trio of cousins and a dog!
I agree with Yogi - a lovely photograph for the archives. I keep telling my kids to ask questions whilst I'm here because I'm the last one left who can answer any queries they may have but they don't seem to bother. I would like to bet, the moment I'm six feet under, a question will pop up and then it'll be too late!
Dear Tulsa,
your blog it's very good. The pictures are bigger like you want.
Regards,
Paulo
Bonnes recherches généalogiques et caresses à Smokey.
How interesting - looking forward to the outcome. Tell me if I can give a helping hand if you find some roots in Norway!
Bill, if you encase your image in a *table align=center* html code, you will avoid the text running down the side like this.
How cool to have that in common with you, too! (love of genealogy) I'm so glad you're taking the time to record your treasures for later generations. One of my most treasured posessions is my grandmother's journal from before my dad was born. So I know those grandkids of yours are going to love what you've done.
Bill, this is the post where I commented on a way to remove the text running down the RHS of your photograph. The text is no longer running down, so whatever you did has fixed the problem.
