Wordless Wednesday - Bite Me Bar

Just west of downtown Tulsa is an older part of town that was settled by working class folks in the early years when the city was growing rapidly.  These are modest homes many of them duplexes, some are well maintained, some not so much.

Why "Bite Me Bar"?  I dunno, that was the sign on the door.

In need of some work..but it has good bones.
Maybe someone objects to their home care.

You have to love that fascia detail in the gable. Very nice.

I love these kinds of older buildings

I love the west side of Tulsa. It feels close to Tulsa's roots as a brawling oilfield and refinerty town.

Love the older homes with character & especially a story (history). There must be an interesting story behind that sign!

I always wonder about old houses and if their walls could talk. Love the sign!
