The Arkansas River

Looking North from about 86th Street on the West side. The first bridge in sight is the 71st Street bridge. It is hard to find a place to drive close enough to the river to get a picture. This is actually a sand and gravel dump for city trucks.

I am sharing river pictures because Sue has not managed to email her photos of the new grandbaby. She says he has pink cheeks, blond hair, and grey eyes; and of course he is beautiful. I will share photos as soon as I get them.

Congratulations on the new baby.
Although I don't have any, I'm sure it's a case of you can never have too many grandchildren!

What a beautiful "jigsaw" picture - the skies in America are HUGE. That must be a psychological thing but, to me, they always seem to be never-ending.

I'n taking a copy of this one as it will make a nice watercolour (no need to tell anyone in art class it's a picture of a dump):-)
