The recent improvements to the Arkansas River Trail between East 11th Street to East 71st Street include 2 handsome bridges. This one carries pedestrians and bicycles over the drainage channel at East 61st Street, Another nearly identical bridge crosses Crow Creek where it empties into the Arkansas River just south of East 31st Street. The hardy gentleman braving 104F heat was wisely drinking lots of water.

A quiet and peaceful photo. The bridge just invites one to a tour of pure enjoyment.
How does one walk in the 100s, never mind cycling?
I love the style of this bridge.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
That's a neat photo of neat little bridge. The temperatures are about the same in my area. I try to do my walking early in the morning.
This bridge design has become extremely popular for short span pedestrian and bike use. They are attractive.
The cyclist may be wise to drink water, but I have to question his decision to be out in 104 degree heat in the first place.
It's gonna be hot here again to day, but only 88 and humid. Not 3 digits. Whew!
I really like the new trails and bridges. Hard to believe that runners, walkers, cyclists all shared a narrow strip of asphalt not too long ago.
It IS a handsome bridge, but with similar temps here, you wouldn't see me bicycling over it.
I have always loved Tulsa... I grew up close to there, and look forward to getting back there, someday.
