CDPB Theme - Bright Colors: Japanese Beetle

The first day of each month there is a theme for all City Daily Photo Blogs.  Tulsa Gentleman is a City Daily Photo Blog for Tulsa, Oklahoma.  The theme for August is "Bright Colors".  This little Japanese Beetle is munching on a yellow marigold.  A light sprinkle of rain left little drops of water to reflect the colors.  He may be a pest but at least he dresses well..

What a great photo for Theme Day. My post at Portland Oregon Daily Photo will be up at 5 a.m., Pacific Daylight Time on August 1. Today's is a really nice tease for it.

24:37 - once I separated the beetle from the marigolds it was "reasonably" easy!!! Please note my time, not all that easy!!

Your yellow is so bright (I need glasses on it).

Gorgeous shot of the beetle, Bill. Marigolds are such a great flower to scatter around as they keep so many crawlie things away. Not beetles, obviously.

Absolutely fantastic and really bright. Well photographed. I like mother nature's colours very much. They are unbeatable.

I wish you a colourful and successful (month of) August.

I agree with Lewi14, I like mother natures colors and you captured them well here! Great pick for theme day.
