Clever Home Garden

Just few blocks from our house a home owner has made a wonderful garden down the strip of land between their property line and the street. Where most people do little more than mow occasionally, they are growing a variety of lovely vegetables and ornamentals. It is a
beautiful garden and not a weed to be seen. This photograph really does not do it justice.

New Toilet

We to from 5 gallons per flush to 1.5 gallons per flush. We are green!

New Toilet

He carefully fits pieces in the old footprint so the new tile well lay flat. Even though this will not show, it is done very carefully.

New Toilet

Mr. Vasquez prepped the floor and laid down new tile prior to setting
the new toilet.

New Toilet

Mr. Vasquez did a beautiful job on the kitchen plumbing so we asked him to install a new toilet. The old one worked OK, but used 5 gallons of water for each flush. The new one only uses 1.6 gallons per flush. Over the course of a year that's a lot is water.

The food is wonderful!

Viet Houng Restuarant

Sure enough we rooted the sprigs and planted them and they have
prospered.

Viet Houng Restaurant

Our favorite Vietnamese restaurant serves fresh basil with soups. The waitress told us that if we put the sprig in water it would root.

The BOK Center

On our way back home we drive by the brand new Bank of Oklahoma Center. Designed by Cesar Pelli, this spectacular new event facility will open September 6 with a performance by The Eagles.

The Blue Dome

The Blue Dome was built in 1924 and served as a Gulf Oil Station. This was the first station in Oklahoma to have hot water, pressurized air and a car wash. It was also open 24 hours, seven days a week. The station attendant lived upstairs in the dome itself. It is a Tulsa landmark and now this part of downtown Tulsa is known as the Blue Dome district. The Diner is across the street.
