That's a nice house. When I was a kid, lots of people had screened in front porches. I never could get it straight on whether you knocked on the screen door to announce yourself when visiting or go through the screen door to the front door.

Step up to the screen door and look inside. If the door to the house is open, knock on the screen door. If the door to the house id closed, step onto the porch and knock on the front door.

Thanks for clearing up which door to knock on for us Bill - I too was wondering what the etiquette was here. For me, that's a very "American-lookinh" house.
