Several years ago I planted some gourd seed along my back fence. I thought it might be fun to hav e a few gourds to turn into birdhouses or rattles or whatever. Little did I know how vigorous these things are. They took over the fence, ran up a utility pole and down the power lines into the next yard. I had more gourds than I knew what to do with. I gathered up the ones I could reach and hung them up to dry. If you think you can't grow stuff, plant gourds, then stand back.

I wish this was in colour as I believe gourds come in all shapes and colours. Did you make a birdhouse or whatever?
(I'm trying to write but still chuckling!) If you want a change of fast-growing pace, try pumpkins! The tendrils go wild for just one poumpkin! This photo is so good and the sepia version of gourds make them look like bowling pins! (I think I've lost it!)
what a gourd explosion. thanks for your visits and comments. all the images and texts on my blog are my own unless i state otherwise.
I never knew gourds were so prolific... lovely in sepia.

Au plaisir de vous y voir. Je ne peux pas entrer sur la page de mon blog actuellement bloqué.
Many kisses.
You think maybe I could fence the grasshoppers out with a wall of gourds?!? I love the idea of turning them into bird houses!
