This pedestrian bridge crosses West 23rd Street at Eugene Field Elementary School. It has a circular ramp at each end and is handicapped accessible. I can swear that I have seen bridges of this identical design in other cities but cannot recall just where. If you know of another I would like to know where it is. In fact I think I remember seeing one in video footage from Iraq but I am probably mistaken.

Today's bridge post is photographs of the siding and flooring from the Gilpin's Falls Bridge.
It is a nice bridge. I am like you in that I am sure that I have seen it before and perhaps on a newscast of Iraq.
Very cool design. Usually these bridges look so chunky and utilitarian, but this one has a bit of style.
I really like this - and I'm glad that there are no distracting tall buildings behind it so it can stand out as a piece of functional art.
I like this bridge. It reminds me of the bridges in Moscow. Their system of walks for pedestrians is amazing... Over or under.....
That's interesting. I have not seen a bridge like this but my first thought too was Iraq - I think because of sculpture rather than bridges. It is an interesting distraction in what looks otherwise like a pretty boring street. Do children play on it? (If concrete - I hope it lasts!)

A very unique design, this footbridge. And it does have a middle eastern flavor to it, doesn't it.
You may have seen other bridges with this design, but it is my first. I think it is really a cool one, and I bet the kids love walking over it. The “arched” section looks like a parentheses to me. Love your photo this week.
I want to say that I have seen this design in OKC and maybe one in the Dallas/Ft Worth area. There may have been one or two more in the Tulsa Metro area at one time. Still, it is an iconic design in Tulsa.
Reminds me of two hands placed together over one's head like an Egyptian dance, you know? I've seen bike ramps over streets but not quite like this!
