So I've lived on Riverside for almost 3 years, and maybe it's because I live so far south, I never realized they practiced over here. I made th mistake of telling my sister, and she looked at me like I was dumber than a box of rocks. Thanks for keeping me educated.
The low water dam at about 21st street keeps the upper part of the river filled and availably for use. Below 21st street the river often becomes the Arkansas Sandbar. I think there is a plan for several other low water dams at 41st and 71st that will really enhance the usability of the river.
