Boeing/Stearman PT-17 "Kaydet", also known as a Stearman Model 75 on display at the Tulsa Air National Guard during a special Family Day held on September 11, 2010. I attended as a guest of my son Master Sergeant David Miller.
The Stearman (Boeing) Model 75 is a biplane, of which at least 9,783 were built in the United States during the 1930s and 1940s as a military trainer aircraft. Stearman Aircraft became a subsidiary of Boeing in 1934. It served as a primary trainer for the USAAF, a basic trainer for the USN (as the NS & N2S), and with the RCAF as the Kaydet throughout World War II. After the conflict was over, thousands of surplus aircraft were sold on the civil market. In the immediate post-war years they became popular as crop dusters and as sports planes.

I like this shot of the aircraft in sepia. You done good! Like you, I'd been posting to Theme Thursday and switched to Sepia Scenes. A new challenge... I like the sharing and learning.
I love old airplanes. Grat shot.
Colour would have been totally wrong for an airplane of this age!
Lovely photograph.
Looking good in sepia.
Oh, is my husband ever going to love your posts today and yesterday! He's a aircraft lover! This shot is just beautiful in sepia!
I used just regular photoshop 7 to build my autumn collage/quilt photos. There are fancy plug-ins and filters that might do the same thing, but I do them manually.
It's a beauty and the sepia tones makes this look like a vintage photo. Well done.
