Willy took a break from watering the flowers to create a little
cooling rain.

Looks like he knows hwo to keep cool in the summer. Is it just me, or is it hotter this time of year than it usually is?

I cannot believe how hot England is this year - they've even part-closed the new roof on centre court at Wimbledon to give the VIPs some shade!!

Last year we were experiencing traumatic flooding because of all the rain, this year we will soon be having hosepipe bans because of lack of water!!! No wonder we English find the weather our favourite topic of conversation.

"Did" the wedding cake in 8.14 - and hope it tasted as good as I enjoyed doing the puzzle. Most unusual decoration - feel there must be a story behind the "sea" motif?

Anne - We have been buoncing around between 36-38C for the last 2 weeks and it will get even higher as we get on into July and August. I grew up here and am accustomed to heat but Susan suffers. These northern flowers wilt in the sun.

If there is a story about the white chocolate sea shells on the cake I don't know it. I think they were just to look pretty. It was tasty cake. It didn't come from a bakery, it was made by one of Renee's friends.

I had to do the same in our garden today - both me and the plants :-)

It's more than 30C in Oslo, Norway and have been for a week.
