Mimosa Tree

Messy or not, the powderpuff blooms are pretty and they smell like peaches! The leaf fronds are touch sensitive and will fold up when stroked. They fold up at night too. It's a nice tree to have in your neighbors yard.

Mimosa Tree

I remember a lot of Mimosas when I was a boy but they are scarce today. They fell out of fashion because they are messy and they self seed in all your flower beds.

Orange Fence

The single path running the length of the Arkansas Rivertrail is being doubled to both a hard surface trail for bicycles and a cinder track for runners. To facilitate the work a temporary plastic mesh fence is being run the length of the path.

Our Front Garden

Chrysanthemums just beginning to bloom. These hardy

Mozart's Coronation Mass

Mozart's Coronation Mass was performed this morning by the
combined choirs of the First Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ) in Tulsa and the First Presbyterian Church of Bartlesville
Oklahoma. The music was woven into a celebration of the
Eucharist and was beautifully done. The musical connection
between these churches is that their respective musical directors
are husband and wife.
