Macro Monday - Pipevine Swallowtail

Butterflies seem to love my big zinnias.  That's why I plant them.

I've heard of a "swallowtail" but not "pipevine" - lovely, colourful shot.
Our butterflies are in very short supply due to the heavy rainfall we've experienced over the past few years - I do miss seeing them.

Love those splendid upright wings of the butterfly. Gorgeous macro of it with the flower.

Beautiful Swallowtail, the colors on the black really stand out. The zinnia is a gorgeous shade of red too. For some reason they don't do well for me, but the Western Tiger Swallowtails here, which are mostly yellow, with black stripes on the wings and black edges, like my butterfly bush.
