This little guy is not afraid of anything, least of all an old guy with a camera. There are a gazillion different Skippers and to be honest I don't recognize this fellow. I do know that he's partial to zinnias

Adorable! I just love skippers. I think they have such cute faces because all they have for mouthparts are their coiled tongues, and their eyes are so big, as you point out.
Skippers can be a bit of a nightmare! But this is a nice one whatever we claim its name to be!
