Packard used several designs for their distinctive hood ornaments over the years.  This beautiful 1934 Packard Phaeton  carries the "Goddess of Speed".

I'm sure she's a thing of beauty but I'm a woman and a car is a car is a car!!!!! :-)

I'm not a 'car' person either, but these are so much more than just cars, they really are the most luxurious creations, so much more appealing than today's nondescript models. Again beautifully shown here Bill.

Somehow, when you feel the need for speed, Packard doesn't just jump into your mind.
Beautiful car and the attention to every design detail, of that day, is amazing. I never tire of looking at wonderful examples of rolling art.

Beautiful! I wish cars still had hood ornaments. You'd love the ones at our Studebaker museum in South Bend.

They don't make this kind of thing any more! Sad.

That was my favorite hood ornament of the show, well the Pierce Arrow ornament was cool also.
