Sunday Bridges - Jefferson Barracks Bridge

Here is another look at the Jefferson Barracks Bridge over the Mississippi River south of St Louis.  This shows the 910 foot spans on the Missouri side of the bridge as seen from the south.  Sue and I crossed this both going and coming from our trip to Chicago earlier this month as seen HERE.

Bonjour Bill

The large size arches add some class to the bridge.

I like how the greenery frames this photo and I like the red arches on this bridge!

A fine looking bridge, fantastic feat of engineering. Did you receive the e-mail I sent you Bill?

I think I prefer the spans with the arches that look more graceful.

What an elegant span. It is very light compared to the traffic going over it.
