Invasion at the Bird Feeders

We love to feed the birds and leave feed out for them all year around.  The feeders have wire cages around them to make them "squirrel-proof" but the squirrels don't know this and work on them anyway.  They are fun to watch too.

Well caught Bill - that squirrel appears to be camera-shy! Look at all that blossom, ours is still in tight bud! Never mind, something to look forward to.

The only thing this photo is missing is the "cross hairs" of a pellet rifle. It's the only thing that will truly squirrel proof a bird feeder. Well, that or a pair of red tail hawks in the neighborhood.

To my mind the entertainment value of a squirrel at the bird feeder outweighs the aggravation. God loves squirrels too.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the title, so you caught me off guard. I don't mind squirrels, but I put my foot down at mice!!! Man, the blossoms in that picture! Wowie!!!

Chez nous aussi, toutes les haies de lilas (violet et blanc) sont en fleurs et l'air embaume !
Bisous.

Sweetie and son got me a bird feeder just like the one you have. I've had it two weeks and I am still waiting, camera in hand, for a squirrel attempt on it.
