Back to the Birds

We are home to Smokey, the King Tut pictures are shared, and the usual routine of life is resumed. After all the excitement of Dallas and the Art Museum are behind us I am back to my modest bird feeders. As Dorothy said to the Wizard, There is no place like home!

My little Male Downey Woodpecker is busy.

A Titmouse reminds me that I need to refill my feeders.

And a House Finch is looking me over.

A cette heure-ci vous avez dû remplir vos mangeoires et les oiseaux doivent être ravis de vous voir rentrés à la maison, non ?
Bonsoir.

The bird hatched right above the front door at our place!

There is a mummy bird and four little babies. They are so cute... they are very young, a day or two, and keep on sleeping and eating.

Each time I open the door, they think it's their mother coming back with more food, and they wake up and stretch their little neck, mouth wide open...
