Bi-Bim-Bap

Stir it up and enjoy! Sort of like the best fried rice you ever ate.

Susan has us both on a diet. Today she is having lunch with one of her lady friends so I snuck off to the Korean Garden for one of my favorite dishes. Bi-Bim-Bap is a mixture of meat and vegetables over steamed rice with a raw egg in the middle. It is served in a clay pot hot enough to make everything sizzle. On the left is an assortment of side dishes from the buffet.

Korean Garden

Today I have Go Deung Uh Gu-e, Roast Mackerel. This is my first time to try this and it was very good. It is served on a bed of cold sliced sweet onion which is a very nice compliment to the slightly salty fish.

Korean Garden

I was tired of making sandwiches for lunch so I decided to treat myself to my favorite Korean restaurant. This is Ohsam Bulgogi, marianated calimari and pork served sizzling hot. Delicious!

The Korean Garden serves the only authentic Korean food in Tulsa and one of my favorite restaurants of any style. It is a small family owned restaurant, clean and simple with a very good menu. They serve a variety of bulgogi, soups, bibimbap, roast fish, and stirfrys, all served with rice and multiple side dishes. Many of the dishes are spicy but not all. All are interesting and delicious. If you are unsure what to order they have a nice variety of dishes to choose from on their buffet. They are on the North West corner of S. 41st St. and 129th East Avenue in Tulsa.
