Macro Monday - Pansy Faces

We are still having warm weather but the nights are getting cooler and I know that it will not be too long before the frost will come and nip at my roses and other blooming plants.  When that happens there is nothing quite as sturdy little pansies.  So a week ago We stopped at Southwood Nursery and picked up a assortment of little pansies.  I like the little ones as I think they are a bit heartier.  These have blooms that are a little less than an inch across.  When I was a little kid I made the startling discovery (to me) that the blossoms look like little faces and I have always enjoyed them for that if for no other reason.

Beautiful pansies. We still have some flowers, but Mr Frost will visit us soon and take them away.

Hardy little pansies are a cold weather favorite here, too!
Have a great day!

Ici aussi nous allons penser à mettre des fleurs qui ne craignent pas trop les grands froids.
mais en ce moment c'est le déluge.

My winter flowering baskets always contain pansies and ivy.
