Ruby Tuesday - It is RED HOT in Tulsa!

I thought you might like to see the Tulsa forecast for the week from my iPhone. This kind of heat is paralyzing. People stay inside where it is air conditioned as much as possible. The temperature inside a car that has been locked up in the sun will be 135 degrees or more.  The steering wheel will be too hot to touch until the AC brings the temperature down.  I am writing this at 4:30 Monday afternoon and outside it is 108F.

 It is  HOT  in Tulsa!

You're suffering a sizzle while we in Melbourne, Australia are crawling out of cold, windy, rainy grey days and now have 2 days of unseasonal sunny warmth! It's all so weird!

This is such a clever post and one that fits in perfectly right now with the USA heat wave. We are burning up here in the mountains of VA with no relief in sight. I wonder when it will end. Looking at your forecast I think I had better be ready for another week of it. Genie

I can't even imagine that kind of heat. I hope you have a good AC!

Very similar to our weather, and we have to endure it all year long. The only season we have here is the hot and rainy season. Spending too much time in an air conditioned room aggravate my allergic rhinitis, so I use fans in my home.

As I type this, I am in Dumas, Texas. Even at 99 degrees, it is cooler than OKC. And no humidity! I can actually breathe through my nose! Tomorrow: Red River, a wonderful 40 degrees cooler than Oklahoma. Don't hate.

The temps in the mid-section of the US are terribly hot, and oppressive in a manner we cannot get used to. The complaints about the heat in New England at a mere 90°F are a distraction in a place where heat can be life or death. Take care and keep the A/C handy...

I'm gasping for breath just looking at these temperature readings!

I’M FOND OF CERISE

For red my affection is great,
It’s puce and chartreuse that I hate.
I’m fond of cerise,
It makes a nice piece
Of clothing that looks just first-rate.

It was 106 here in Rogers/Bentonville, AR today. Not good.
Glad you were amused by the red sunflowers. Believe me, Walmart is one of my favorite places, although they have not been kind to their sporting goods department that last few years. It's not nearly as well stocked as it used to be. Like you, when traveling, we can always count on Walmart for good prices and McDonald's for clean restrooms.
Thanks for stopping by Driller's Place. Stay inside and out of the heat. That's my plan.
