Me again: Thank you so much for the nice comment! I THINK the trees you mention in the "avenue" are maples. It is customary to crop trees in such more or less public places rather heavily from time to time. It may be ugly at once, but after a very short time they are as beautiful as never before - and they get manageable.
Alvøen (as this area is called) is one of my favourite hunting grounds for subjects, and a number of my photos are from this area (I live not too far away). However, my template won't let me tag my posts, so searching by tag won't work. However, I don't think I have posted a photo of the "avenue" as such in full foliage, but now I'll have to see what I can find - only by now they will have started to change colour :-(
