Of course, when we were kids, everyone hung their laundry out to dry. The clothes line was a fixture in the back yard. Very energy efficient.
The best way to dry clothes outdoors - far superior to tumble dryers.
I remember everybody running out to grab the laundry if it started sprinkling.
