Weekend Reflections - Turtle in the Sun
Painted Turtle, Slider, Cooter? They look pretty much the same, the main difference being the size. If there is an expert in the house please name these fellows.

What a fantastic capture! I love the turtle and he is a big one! Great reflection for the day! Hope your weekend is good!

Cute! I like wildlife in photos that fit the memes. Have a great weekend.
What a great shot, Bill! I can't imagine one often sees three turtles on a pier! I don't know the first thing about turtles and had never even heard/seen the words slider or cooter before. You won't believe this, but I spent 20 minutes looking it up, because after my own tortoise (land turtle) post some weeks ago, I thought it was rather fascinating. I think I learned that "turtle" is the most generic name for this reptile. I couldn't enlarge your photo enough to see the various identifiers, but you may want to look here: http://www.discoverlife.org/mp/20q?guide=Turtles. Super post for Weekend Reflections.
The one nearest the camera looks as though he/she is "galloping" off in high dudgeon. I wonder what's irritated it?
I know absolutely nothing about turtles - we used to keep terrapins when the kids were young
and that's the closest I get to any knowledge!
This is the second blog I've visited today with turtles in it. I don't see them anywhere I visit so lovely to see them.
great find to see three together like this! it is hard to tell, the red slider mark is not very clear, but I think that is what the the two on the right might be. the dried out one may be a cooter as his back look flatter.
Nice picture
How about Moe, Larry, & Curly or
Larry, Darrell & Darrell? But, you're probably looking for something different.
Great capture. Have a wonderful week-end.
Seriously, I think they're all River Cooter Turtles.
They are enjoying the sunshine. Great pic Bill.
Great shot, love to watch the turtles enjoying the sun.
Just warming the blood!
