Bye-bye Birdies
We watched our little House Finches as they quickly grew up. Ten days from hatchling to fledgling - that's quick. I took this photo on Friday and by this morning the nest was empty. They didn't even say goodbye.
For three weeks we have a live tv programme called "Spring Watch" and to see the birds go from from scrawny to fledglings seems to take no time at all. I must say, I do think this lovely weather we are experiencing seems to make quite a difference.
Actually, I do think they were quite rude not to say good bye - common courtesies should prevail with all species.
Bye bye birdies, I undersand you're sad, Bill, because your little birds leave you without a kiss, but you know that when you want to be a good father, you must train your children or your little birds to leave home and become older !! but I know, it's sometime difficult for parents !!

As parents we must wave goodbye and wish them the best. I will probably see them back on my bird feeders.
ReplyDeleteBonsoir.
ReplyDeletePas trop la forme ce soir, sorry.
