  1. Bigger is better and there is NO such thing as too much chrome. Love this post. Happy WW.

  2. This is quite a rarity ; great to see it there at about 53rd and Peoria.
Can't remember - was that a Skelly station there across the street or a DX bitd?

  4. Yeah, that is one cool car! The kind you go to the drive-in with! Love it and all its shiny chrome glory!

  5. @YHH - It has been a repair shop for as long as I can remember but I have only lived in this area since 1993. You know your Brookside area. Sue and I were on our way back to the house from breakfast at the Corner Cafe (was Kelly's before that).

  6. Just as an aside... the Corner Cafe there was originally a Sambo's. Then whatever they changed to after political correctness became overpowering, then it was a Dennys for quite awhile.
Remember the post you did with the photo of the 1918 Ford Speedster? I called the owner of that car to answer my query ; he states emphatically that the station just north of the building in question was a Conoco, but is only about half sure as to the repair facility. His opinion/memory is that it was a Skelly station. Just fyi / fwiw. :)
