A storm blew through and knocked the lights out so we are making do with candles until the electricity is back on. I can post a photo of my candle using my iPhone. Nifty, huh?
We sat out in the garden room and read until it got dark then went into the bedroom and played our nightly game of gin rummy by candle light. The cool wind is blowing in the windows and it is quiet outdoors. Kind of nice.

Very evocative of days gone by. However, as I live in an "all electric" apartment, I'm crossing my fingers I never lose my power. It's the loss of heating that bothers me, one can always read by torchlight.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo. No one would ever guess that it was prompted by loss of power. I trust that your power has been restored by now.
ReplyDeleteNice iphone shot. The air is literally a breath of fresh air.
ReplyDeleteThat such a lovely object... Nice choice !
ReplyDeleteNice shot! The cool air is a true blessing!
ReplyDeleteJoli objet
ReplyDelete...all was not lost; you made the most of it including a lovely photograph
ReplyDeleteGoodness me Bill, I would never have thought of that, but then again I'm a complete technophobe! How nice to be sitting playing cards in the candle light with the breeze blowing, simple pleasures are often the best and we don't realize that until the lights go out haha!
