Fresh ripe tomatoes at Conrad Farms in Bixby. These tomatoes were on the vine only a day or so ago. They are at their very peak of flavor and freshness. We like to slice them up with some cucumbers and sweet onion and sprinkle them with a little oil and vinegar or just salt and ground pepper. Add some sliced avocado and you are in heaven. My oh my!

Beautiful! My complaint about tomatoes around here is that they don't taste like tomatoes - they are picked so green and ripened artificially! I love a good tomato plucked right from the vine!
ReplyDeleteSo fresh! I bet they are sweet. Happy RT2.
ReplyDeleteMine's here.
So nice to see that it is not all ending up as ketchup :-)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite foods, and you've made me very hungry!
