Ruby Tuesday - Saucer Magnolia
The Saucer Magnolia, (Magnolia Soulangeana), is one of the earliest blooming of the ornamental trees. It holds its blooms for a week or two then drops its petals to form a pink carpet under the tree.
Are these flowering now in Mississippi? How I wish they would survive here in Edmonton! One of these years I will just have to make the trip. My son has some friends down there he wants to see too so why not?
That is absolutely gorgeous and how lovely to see blossom after a long, hard winter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors. I don't see this tree in our area.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant blossoms!
ReplyDeleteA RED-LESS DAY?
“Oh, my goodness, oh, my dear!
Don’t you think it’s very clear
That a red-less day’s a drag?”
Asks Ms. Foxy Scarlet Hag!
