Is there ever a problem with flooding? Hate to think what the maintenance bills are for a place like that - you can tell I live in an apartment too but nowhwere near as snazzy!
These are nice looking. They seem to be styled from the early 1900s, although built recently. The look of the past is the draw, and modern things like A/C make them easier to live with...
Wonderful picture. It is so clear and sharp. I like a view of the ocean myself but I suppose the river would suffice. I'm not sure I would want to give up so much privacy.
Stopping by for the first time to admire your sepia shot of the apartment buildings. I have perused several of your posts and enjoyed your beautiful photography!
Hillside apartments, I can see why that would be popular.
ReplyDeleteMy WW is from a residential hillside this week as well.
Nice tones... apt river views are over-rated in my opinion!

ReplyDeleteI've always liked those apartments. They are situated well with a good view.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine why :-)
ReplyDeleteI would love to live near the water. Grew up near the beach. An apartment however is not for us.... not with 4 rambunctious boys!
ReplyDeletei love the shot! that place looks great in sepia :)
ReplyDeleteu may view mine here
Great sepia shot, of course its popular ;)
ReplyDeleteOnce again, beautiful architecture made more eye-appealing with the sepia tone. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteThese apartments look nice in the light sepia tone you used..
ReplyDeleteA view of the river is always good.
Very nice & smooth sepia image, which is what I strive for, but never seem to accomplish - I'll keep trying, though!

ReplyDeleteWe also have a riverside in Ottawa, and yes, it's popular for the same reason!
ReplyDeleteNice one Bill. The apartments just look right in sepia and the repetition makes for a strong composition.
ReplyDeletethose are nice
ReplyDeleteI like their understated appearance
everything being built around me is so gawdy
The way they slope down the hill reminds me of San Francisco. It looks great in sepia.

ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely and nostalgic photo.
