Even as an architect, I like a lot of Pelli's work, but I am not a fan of this building. I drove by it in October and I noticed that some of the panels are a little stained. There are thousands of those metal panels and the joints of everyone of them presents multiple opportunities for a leak. This building will not age nearly as gracefully as the Fairgrounds Pavilion.
Great pictures. Tulsa's a great town.
ReplyDeleteApart from the positioning on high of the traffic lights, that could be a picture of England throughout November. Evidently our wettest yet!!!

ReplyDeleteDriller - you see this building with the practical eye of a working architect. I have no doubt that time will prove you correct.
ReplyDeleteAnne - England is famous for its damp weather.
le temps de l'Oklahoma est aussi pluvieux que dans les CĂ©vennes !
ReplyDeleteKisses.
Great picture. I went wandering over today to check out the temporary ice rink.
ReplyDeletePretty damp in Ottawa as well, with no snow so far.
