Woven Basket


While we were in Santa Fe we admired this woven basket about 14 inches (36 cm) in diameter.


There is an amazing detail of pattern and color. It is more like tapestry than basketry.

    I've seen some fine baskets in various museums and stores here and there but nothing quite like that.

    Beautiful craft!

    The pattern reminds me of Mayan crafts in Guatemala.
