Anne, I believe the red shrub is a Euonymus Alata, "Burning Bush". It is gorgeous in the fall has nice red berries that birds enjoy. However it can be a pest as the bird droppings spread the seeds in many unwanted places. But if it is a weed, it is certainly an attractive one.
Oh my word, what beautiful pictures. I've just been ordering jigsaws and, as you know, I just adore these sort of pictures.
ReplyDeleteLucky you to have such wonderful colour, literally in your back garden. Is the small shrub-like tree a Japanese maple?

ReplyDeleteBonsoir.
ReplyDeleteL'automne est vraiment magnifique dans l'Oklahoma et les arbres revêtent mille couleurs fort agréables à l'oeil.
Bizzzzz.
This is the kind of fall color we had... before the snow last week ;-)
