Macro Monday - Skipper on Purple Heart

Skipper resting on Purple Heart, also known as Purple Wandering Jew.
Actually what the butterfly is attracted to is the Lantana which is planted with it.  Skippers are kind of drab but are generally willing to hold still long enough to have their picture taken.

The butterfly may normally be drab but it's the perfect complimentary color to the wandering jew. Very nice.

Great Macro, never seen that flower before, I guess it's because you cannot find them here. Otherwise I would love some in my garden and they really have a name suited for them!

I'm so glad to know the name of the butterfly-- they are all over my Ok garden and you are right-- they do hold still.

That's the problem with flutter-bys - the holding still thing. I have purple WJ in my garden but it covers everything. Makes a lovely splash of colour though, so it can stay.
